I was born in Tokyo and grew up in Chiba prefecture.
After graduating from technical college, I worked in Shimokitazawa, a very fashionable district in Tokyo.
In order to gain international experience I moved to United Kingdom in 2007 and started working with Kevin Sweeney at his salon in Greenwich, South East London.
Kevin taught hairdressing at the world famous hairdressing school, ‘Vidal Sassoon’ so I gained a lot of valuable experience working with him.
Working and living in the UK was a life changing experience for me. I met so many interesting clients from all over the world and had such a great time interacting with them. I also worked as a stylist’s assistant at a photo shoot for several magazines.
My hobby is traveling and I really tried to make the most of my time in London by traveling many European countries including France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Greece, Portugal, Germany and the Netherlands.
I really enjoyed the diversity offered by people, including the food and different smells of each country.
I also had a really exciting holiday in Chile, Bolivia and Peru. It was so much fun exploring South America and its unique diverse culture.
I consider the time I spent overseas as invaluable and it really contributed to the person that I am today.
Finally, I need to confess that it is my special dream to swim in a big pool of jelly one day.
